I have a narrow face, and always struggle with finding glasses that fit correctly. I had a pair of Oakley (of the "jacket" genre, flap, flak, etc) glasses for cycling that I thought would be great, but unfortunately, my eyes teared terribly when I wore them. Wind got behind the lenses and I just couldn't see. I watched a video from Sports RX that explained what to look for in a good cycling goggle, and I realized I just needed a larger set of lenses, but every pair of glasses I tried looked ridiculous on me. I took a chance on these Pivlock Asanas when I saw that they were recommended for women. Since they were on sale at Smith's site, they were worth the gamble. They are perfect. Not only are they far cheaper than the Oakleys I had, they came with 3 lenses, and a wonderful protective case, when I had to BUY any extra lenses from Oakley. These are a incredible value and they protect my eyes SO well! I'm so happy!! The only negative I have is that I just wish they came with an amber lens instead of clear. The Rose lens is great but I find it is often too dark when I ride in the mornings. Finally, I've had many compliments on them! They are really a cool pair of glasses for cycling. And they don't slip on my face, even when sweaty. Big win for me. All in all, a GREAT pair of glasses. I'm a convert.
The quality and style of these glasses are amazing. I use them when running and have never had any issues with them slipping or snagging in my hair. If you're considering them, don't hesitate.
Unless I was shipped a Men's version, these glasses run extremely large! I close the nose piece and wear them under my bike helmet straps and they do stay on but I would be more comfortable in a bike race with them more snug. I have Smith Aviators that fit perfectly so I'm not sure what happened with the PivLock Asana's.
I was looking for some stylish sport sunglasses that would be durable for running. I've worn Tifosi's in the past, and found that the lenses broke quickly, and thus the sunglasses were much more delicate than I'd like. These sunglasses are so much more comfortable and I do not have to adjust at all during my runs. I love that there is a huge protective case for the Smith sunglasses, and that there is a single lens for both eyes. It seems much more durable when you interchange the lenses than the Tifosi's I had. I also like the color options available to me.
I realize that these sunglasses are primarily aimed at the bicycling crowd. However, I have been looking for decades for a pair of sunglasses that fit my small to medium face and work with my Asian nose (which is to say, no bridge). Most sunglasses that I find are either too wide or the nosepiece doesn't fit well, resulting in the glasses constantly sliding down my nose. These sunglasses are perfect! They fit my face well, and the adjustable nosepiece means that they fit my nose perfectly and stay put. They are also lightweight and provide excellent coverage. Now, I just need to decide whether I need another color or not...
I'm a small person, small head and face, and have great difficulty finding helmets, hats and sunglasses that fit me. I was really hoping the Asana's would be the ticket since they have a small fit and adjustable nose pieces. Although they fit great on their own, they did not fit with any of my helmets including my Smith helmet! The arms are straight and do not curve around the ear, so they hit the fit system on the helmets. It doesn't appear that they can be bent and adjusted to alleviate this problem. If you are a runner I would recommend these, but as a cyclist, they just don't work.
I use these for cycling, and love them. I typically have a hard time finding glasses to fit my face, which is a normal-to-petite female mug. The Asana fits well, stays in place, and looks killer.
My husband purdhased these glasses for me after I admired them in a bike shop that carries all high end products. I liked the design and they felt very comfortable. I have used Maui jim sunglasses here in Florida for years but recently purchased a Garmin bike computer and had trouble viewing the screen. The shop owner said polarized glasses were not good for bike riding so I tried these Asana's. They felt great but the only problem was they kept fogging up all the time. I had to stop riding numerous times and let them clear or dry them off which was a nuisance. I moved the nosepiece in a higher position and will try that on my next ride. Hope this works otherwise they're going back!
