Our weekly group rides are a great way to ramp up your training, make new friends or just give yourself an excuse to ride your bike more!
Triathlons 101 - 5:30pm @ Oak Mountain State Park. Join Casey Fannin at the beach parking lot at Oak Mountain State Park from for TRIATHLONS 101! The group will tackle a 200 yd swim, 8.5 mile bike, and a 1.5 mile run. This will be a non-competitive adventure using the time as easy recovery, or to offer a great way to do an easy triathon in a beginner friendly environment. TRIATHLONS 101 is a sanctioned USAT Event. Le Tour de Ham: 6:15 pm leaving from across the street from Naked Art. A Tuesday Social Bicycle Ride for the sheer fun if it. All bicycles and abilities welcome. Rides will be cancelled due to bad weather. We do not ride if it is raining or if under 40 degrees.
Watermelon Ride - 6:00 pm at Oak Mountain State Park. More daylight means it's time for the Watermelon Ride! Join Barb and Kal at the golf course parking lot in Oak Mountain State Park at 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday this spring and summer for a road group ride. Hangout afterwards for some good conversation, and, you guessed it, watermelon!

Homewood Road Ride - 7:30am leaving from our Homewood store. This is a high tempo/intensity road ride. The ride will cover around 50 miles. This not a beginner ride. This is "race-simulation" type ride designed for a competitive rider. Life Time Cycle/Cahaba Cycles Beginner MTB Ride: 9:00 am at Oak Mountain State Park, meet at the south trailhead at the end of Terrace Drive. Look for the "Life Time Fitness" tent. This is a beginner-paced trail ride, perfect for first-timers or social riders wanting to meet other cyclists. There is always a ride lead that is responsible for the group so no one is left behind. If you’ve been wanting to try trail riding but have been afraid or unsure, this is the perfect ride. Slow Your Roll Ride - 3:45pm at Patriot Park Looking to get on your bike and relax? The Slow Your Roll ride is a casual, social ride meant for people who love riding, not competing. . The group meets at Patriot Park and completes 5-10 mile routes. Come out and have fun!
Life Time Cycle Road Ride: (APRIL – OCTOBER) – Sundays at 2:30 pm at Avondale Park. This is an all-level road ride…from beginners to FAST. There are four groups that roll at the same time, all with different ride leads and distances. They are NO-DROP rides meaning no one is left behind. Beverages at Avondale Brewery after the rides. " This ride is designed for those who are new to mountain biking and would like a friendly, non-intimidating guided ride with some tutorial and instructional help along the ride.
